Karen Sarabia is originally from the Philippines, where she trained as a Massage Therapist. She came to Christchurch in 2019, and has been working here at our Christchurch Osteopathy Acupuncture clinic since 2021.
Karen is known for her caring and gentle approach to massage, yet can also do deep-tissue and sport's massage when required, and if requested.
Massage is also an idea adjuct to Osteopathy (and / or Acupuncture) treatment. In fact, many chiropractors also employ Massage Therapists (as Chiropractic treatment is quite short, maybe around 10 minutes or less) and Massage may be preliminary to Chiropractic or Osteopathy treatment - to enable gentle and easly release of the joints, by softening tight muscles around them.
However, Karen is generous with her time, and you benefit from a deeply relaxing therapeutic massage from One hour, or slightly more - unless you opt for the slightly shorter 45 minute massage - which can still be deeply relaxing and beneficial.
Osteopathy, of course, is more gentle than Chiropractic treatment. But, if it's relaxation and deep-peace and stillness (if you have a full and busy life) then treat yourself to a wonderful, relaxing and healing massage from Karen.
